*sigh*

I still haven't gotten the hang of not being her first relationship. It sucks, seriously. You try to be sweet, only to get slammed by a single sentence implying that she's heard it all before or that one of her exs already did or bought her something similar.

It's not just about sweeping her off her feet anymore. It's now all about making sure that it's unique. In every single plan, I have to make sure that no one's ever done it to her before, aside from making sure that it didn't appear in any movie.

I'm just trying to make her feel how special she is to me. I know she's not the romantic type and hates the swooning concept of love, but that's just who I am. I don't really care if she finds it corny or stupid. I'd rather have her think that than for her to gun me down with another reference to one of her exs.

Now I'm having second thoughts about doing something for our anniversary.
